The Hawaii state board has retained the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) to lead the search for the Superintendent.

The Hawaii State Board of Education has extended the application deadline for its search for the position of State Superintendent of Education to lead the Hawaii State Department of Education and the statewide system of public schools. The new application deadline for the position of state superintendent is April 12, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. HST.
