NASBE Foundation Contribution

The Campaign for Excellence is a three year endowment campaign to raise resources to fully fund NASBE’s annual policy studies (study groups) and the New State Board Members’ Institute in perpetuity. NASBE President Karabelle Pizzigati has appointed a steering committee to oversee the effort to raise and capitalize one million dollars.

NASBE study groups and the New State Board Members Institute have consistently been evaluated as the organization’s most effective development tools. The NASBE Board of Directors believes it is critical to assure the continuity and integrity of these vital instruments of Board Member development and education policy exploration without compromising the priorities and interests of state boards. Naming opportunities for the three focus areas may be endowed for $100,000 each. One has already been claimed in memory of the late Weaver Rogers, former North Carolina State Board of Education Executive Director. Weaver’s widow Brenda is a member of the Endowment Campaign Committee.

The Campaign for Excellence will be the first of its kind to raise one million dollars over the next three years to support policy and leadership training activities for members of state boards of education.

All funds will go to the NASBE Foundation to endow such professional development activities as NASBE's New State Board Member Institute and study groups on critical education issues. All contributions are tax deductible.

Contributions can be made in the amounts of: $10, $20, $50, or $100.
